November was a busy month for ISL!
ISL staged three simultaneous soccer events with approximately 1.000 young American players while getting ready for the 8th Barça Academy Soccer Camps.
ISL had a busy month in November: The LaLiga Select Talent ID in New York, the Madrid Soccer Experience, and the Barcelona Soccer Experience all began on the weekend of November 20th.
LaLiga Select, which was completely designed, produced, and administered by ISL, is La Liga’s first and only official recruitment initiative in the US. This year, multiple Talent IDs have been held in Canada, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio; and in association with soccer organizations, LaLiga Select also organized a number of showcases around the US.
In this spirit, the players who have been picked from the Talent IDs and Showcases will be invited to a Showcase in Madrid, where they will practice and possibly be selected to take part in LaLiga’s training camp.
Likewise, young soccer players have the opportunity to enjoy a unique soccer week abroad with the Madrid and Barcelona soccer experiences, training with official coaches at the facilities of Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and FC Barcelona. Unexpected visits to training sessions from professional football players have been arranged by ISL. This time, Sergio Busquets from FC Barcelona and Lucas Vázquez
from Real Madrid came to meet the players.
Numerous games against Spanish teams, special stadium tours, cultural excursions in Madrid and Barcelona, and live games of Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and FC Barcelona were part of this experience.
These three events featured over 1.000 young American athletes in total, together with over 150 coaches and over 100 staff members. To make sure everything went according to plan, the ISL team worked in close collaboration with LaLiga and LaLiga Academies, FC Barcelona and Barça Academies, Real Madrid, and Atlético de Madrid.
ISL is honored to actively contribute to the growth of soccer in the US by planning events that give players special training and competition opportunities as well as the ability to travel abroad and get to know some of the largest clubs in the world.
